Major Highlights of SEPOC since Startup:

1) Achieving the best safety performance since the start of the operation.

2) Setting out the company’s strategic outlines concerning exploration, development, production, operation and management of petroleum operations in Block (18) according to the good practices of international oil industry and by taking help from international foreign experts.

3) Running petroleum operations in Block (18) according to the standards practiced by international oil industry in exploration, development, production, transport, storage and export.

4) Establishing a new department, Exploration & Development, and manning it with qualified Yemeni staff from outside and inside the country. Providing this department with financial, technical and moral support as well as equipment, software and human resources trained to sustain continuity of operation after they reevaluate Block (18) from exploration and production perspectives.

5) Supporting the training of all Yemeni staff on all levels locally and abroad so that the staff will be more creative and productive.

6) Reconsidering the Company’s Law of Establishment and redrafting its Articles of Association jointly with experienced specialized legal counsels and revamping its contracting procedures, its policies and liability assurances.

7) Contracting an international consultant company to assess the job description of all SEPOC’s positions so as to live up to the job description system applied in oil industry. This enables us to retain and motivate excellent employees.

8) Requesting Ministry of Oil & Minerals’ support to help maintain the level of crude oil production upon the commencement of forthcoming LNG production.

9) Providing services to other oil-producing blocks tied in to Block (18) including processing, transport, storage and export in accordance with the standards of international petroleum industry.
